Konica Minolta Inc. has unveiled a new version of MarketPlace for users across the globe, which offers apps and licenses to “transform the way work gets done.”

The new Konica Minolta MarketPlace, which was formerly the bizhub MarketPlace, offers a platform for applications, customisation tools, and device management features. It makes available a variety of cloud, scan, productivity, information and security apps, allowing users of the MarketPlace to increase the power of their Konica Minolta MFPs quickly and easily, and helps them meet the challenges of everyday business.

Using the MarketPlace, users can quickly create customed-designed MFP User Interfaces, which can be tailored to only display the most-necessary functions, as well as including particular colours, company logos and corporate backgrounds.

Alpine and Konica Minolta to Start a Joint Development on the 3D Augmented Reality Head-up Display for Automotive Use

Tokyo (November 16, 2017) - Alpine Electronics, Inc. (Alpine) and Konica Minolta, Inc. (Konica Minolta) today announced a joint development on the head-up display (HUD) applying the 3D augmented reality (AR)technology for automotive use.

The joint development aims to enhance the innovative 3D AR HUD technology which was originally developed by Konica Minolta as the world’s first* in January 2017. The companies will work together on further advancements in technology suitable for mass production in fiscal 2021.

* As a technology that displays images on a windshield three dimensionally by projecting multiple images simultaneously at multiple distances from a driver without sensing the driver’s eye position (research by Konica Minolta)
